Breeder Bill Rosenfeldt

Georgia Rabling had been sent up by her previous owner to be bred to Duplicated Deck. After several failed attempts, a biopsy revealed she may be challenging to get in foal. But Bill Rosenfeldt still liked the mare and wanted to keep trying, so he traded 3 breedings to Duplicated Deck for the mare. Georgia did finally get in foal and BR I Am was the 3rd of 5 foals she had for him. He was a beautiful foal, and I remembers thinking this could possibly be a replacement for Deck. As a yearling, he had a bad accident involving his back leg getting tangled in a cable fence. His leg required surgery and lengthy post-op care. He doctored him for a year cleaning and wrapping his leg in the stall, often without even having a halter on him. He was so super kind and cooperative with everything.

In spite of his injury he remained sound. In the summer of 2005 he was sent to Rick Skelly. Rick trained him and he went to his first shows in FL being shown by Stephanie Lynn where he got his first points. Later Paige Quarterman showed him at the Congress to a Top Five place finish in the Ltd HUS Futurity and Top Ten in the Open. Every rider that has shown him remarked on how easy and fun he was to show.
